Game Anglia and Seamans Building Launch Travel Fund to Support Access to Gaming Industry Events

Game Anglia is proud to announce the launch of a new travel fund to support young people in the East of England who are passionate about the gaming industry but face financial barriers to attending key industry events. The fund will provide travel subsidies for those who would otherwise be unable to attend these important events, offering opportunities for professional and personal growth within the gaming sector. 

The grant will be available to any organisation in the region organising a gaming industry event. This fund, made possible by a generous donation from Seamans Building, will ensure that all individuals, regardless of their financial background, have the chance to participate in East Anglia’s vibrant gaming scene of events, conferences, and festivals. Seamans Building is committed to supporting initiatives that drive social mobility, innovation, and community development across Suffolk and the East of England. Through partnerships with local events and organisations, they work to create lasting change and improve opportunities for young people in all industries, with a particular focus on those who face economic challenges. 

Seamans Building expressed their commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential across all sectors, “Seamans Building are thrilled to offer their 2025 bursary to Game Anglia. We are big believers in encouraging young people to reach their full potential, across all industries and sectors, particularly where social and economic factors may place limitations on an individual’s ability to do so. We hope that we are able to play a small part in the development of such a popular sector throughout Suffolk.” 

This initiative is not only about supporting the future of the gaming industry, but it is also about improving access to career-changing events and fostering diversity, creativity, and innovation. With the launch of this travel fund, Game Anglia hopes to help break down barriers and create equal opportunities for all members of the East of England community to engage with the gaming industry. 

Applications for the travel fund will open at the end of March 2025, and full details on how to apply will be available soon.
