Our annual festival celebrating the East of England's video games industry returns on Thursday 6 February 2025 at University of Suffolk!

A day filled with inspiring talks, independent game developers and educational institutions. 


2025 Keynote Speakers

For 2025, the Game Anglia Festival has two seasoned speakers who will be sharing their experiences with the participants. 

Maria Barte

Games Designer at Electronic Arts 

A skilled Games Designer with 9 years of experience in both Level Design and Games Design, Maria is a University of Suffolk graduate who has worked on EAFC, Need for Speed Rivals and Assassin's Creed Origins to name a few

Katherine Bidwell

Founder at State of Play Games

Katherine established State of Play in 2008 in Cambridgeshire. Their work has won a number of international awards, including a BAFTA for Artistic Achievement for their handmade puzzle adventure game Lumino City and the Apple Design Award 2016 for INKS

Celebrating current and upcoming talent in the East of England's video games industry. 

Game Anglia Festival 2025 will be curated by Jacob Heayes (BAFTA Connect Member and Certification Analyst for Games at the British Film Institute).

Game Anglia Awards

The Game Anglia Awards celebrate the vibrant and innovative gaming industry in the East of England. This prestigious event recognizes and honours the achievements of talented individuals and studios across a range of categories: Best Student Game, Best Independent Game and Game of the Show. The awards showcase the region's contribution to the global gaming scene and provide a platform for networking, inspiration, and industry recognition.
